Adair and Marsh McLennan Volunteers Join Forces to Finalize an HBF Shelter Project
More than six months after closing out its project at Project Homeless Connect in Hillsboro, HBF assembled a team of volunteers to paint the original teardrop siding of the organization’s Access Center that had been covered with asbestos since the 1950’s.
HomeAid Anniversary
Home Building Foundation is celebrating a milestone this summer, marking 35 years of HomeAid's mission to end homelessness.
Extra Credit Assignments
Construction students from Sam Barlow traveled up a winding country road in a school bus, followed by a flatbed truck carrying an assignment they built for HBF.
Gala Gives Comfort
Home Building Foundation will impact the lives of hundreds of people experiencing homelessness after its 2024 Building Hope Gala and Auction. More than $500,000 was pledged during the annual dinner and auction June 1 at Tumwater Vineyards in West Linn.
National Recognition for Workforce Efforts.
The National Home Builders Association awarded Home Building Association and Home Building Foundation of Greater Portland a 2023 Association Excellence Award for “Best Workforce Development Plan Implemented”.
Home Improvements
Keller Williams employees who chose to help HBF with our project at Oleson Woods for their national "Red Day" of service also helped make history.
Building Careers Right
The graduates were also offered a special “Meet and Greet” with employers in the offices of Green Hammer Design Build. Much like “speed dating”, the trainees cycled through tables of employers every five minutes.
Doggone Good Project
HBF volunteers battled the spring rain to help the deserving veterans who live at Vancouver’s Kiggins Village. Lennar Portland’s team of 30 employees came with a mission to make the village feel like home for the residents and their loved ones.

We are hoping for a “white out” at Tumwater Vineyard June 1st for the 2024 Building Hope Gala & Auction. Our intrepid Gala team encourages everyone to dress in your best white “summer chic” outfit as we raise money for Home Building Foundation.
