Hope House
The second phase of construction funded by a $95,000 Lowe’s grant consists of renovating the exterior envelope: adding rigid polyiso insulation, insulated TPO roofing, James Hardie siding and a new HVAC system. Previously the 1940’s-era masonry structure had no AC or insulation, so the improved R value on the walls and roof will lower the energy bills and regulate interior temperatures. The other major improvement is adding seismic upgrades to the roof. Additional funding from the HBF will help build a half-bathroom upstairs in partnership with Catalyst NW.
